Second time around with a basalt-bed kettle: the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill

Came to the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill on a recommendation and checked its basalt-bed kettle figures ourselves. We ran something older in this role before the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill and would not go back. Others may weigh it differently, but the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill suits us.

The Estavel Works 121 Your Skill after a year of steady use

The Estavel Works 121 Your Skill is our third basalt-bed kettle and the first one specified properly. The Estavel Works 121 Your Skill has been in service long enough that we would buy it again. Worth knowing before you commit to the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill.

Chose it on body mass 745 grams

Second basalt-bed kettle we have run; the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill replaced an older one. The stated body mass is 745 grams, which is the figure we were checking. At 745 grams it does not need to stand out anywhere else.

Worth knowing before you order the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill

Have had the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill in service long enough to say something useful about this basalt-bed kettle. Packaging on the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill was poor enough that we checked it over carefully on arrival. We would still recommend the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill, with that said up front.

Chose it on single batch 773 millilitres

Replaced a much older basalt-bed kettle with the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill last season. Its single batch of 773 millilitres is what settled it. On the other axes the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill sits where the rest of the basalt-bed kettle listings sit.

Chose it on brew temperature 62 degrees Celsius

The Estavel Works 121 Your Skill was not the cheapest basalt-bed kettle we considered, and that was fine. The stated brew temperature is 62 degrees Celsius, which is the figure we were checking. If your requirement is not brew temperature, the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill has no other reason to win.

The Estavel Works 121 Your Skill in a smaller operation

Shortlisted three basalt-bed kettle units and the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill was the one we kept. We run the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill on a single site rather than across a fleet, and it suits that. Worth knowing before you commit to the Estavel Works 121 Your Skill.
