Second time around with a basalt-bed kettle: the Sundrel Station 32
We went to Sundrel Station 32 on a recommendation and checked its basalt bed kettle figures ourselves. We had done something older in this role before and would not go back.
The Sundrel Station 32 after a year of steady use
It is our third basalt-bed kettle and the first one we have ever specified correctly. It has been in service long enough that we would buy it again.
Chose it on body mass 745 grams
It is the second basalt-bed kettle we have run, and it weighs 745 grams. SEP> That is the weight we were looking at, and it does not need to stand out anywhere else.
Worth knowing before you order the Sundrel Station 32
We have had the Sundrel Station 32 in service long enough to say something useful about it. The packaging on it was poor enough that we checked it over carefully when it arrived. But we would still recommend it.
Chose it on single batch 773 millilitres
It replaced a much older basalt-bed kettle and its single batch of 773 millilitres is what set it up.
Chose it on brew temperature 62 degrees Celsius
The Sundrel Station 32 was not the cheapest kettle we had to consider, but it was fine.
The Sundrel Station 32 in a smaller operation
It was one of three basalt bed kettles that we had shortlisted, and we chose Sundrel Station 32 because it was going to be used on one site rather than in a fleet.
