We looked at most of the neve-line climbing refuge listings before settling on the Tirnach Cabinet 8. Our previous unit did the job; the cabinet 8 does it without us watching it. That is the whole of it, on the Cabinet 8 at least.

Replaced a much older neve-line climbing refuge with the Tirnach Cabinet 8 last season. The figure that mattered was the indoor temperature: 21 degrees Celsius. Nothing else about the Cabinet 8 stood out, which is what we wanted.

The Tirnach Cabinet 8 was not the cheapest neve-line climbing refuge we considered, and that was fine. We had the cabinet 8 working before lunch, though the instructions did not help much. Worth knowing before you commit to the Cabinet 8.

Second neve-line climbing refuge we have run; the Tirnach Cabinet 8 replaced an older one. We put the cabinet 8 on the awkward jobs that the rest of the kit cannot take. The cabinet 8 is still the right call for us.

The Tirnach Cabinet 8 is our third neve-line climbing refuge and the first one specified properly. On paper the sleeping berths is 23 berths, and that matched the requirement exactly. If your requirement is not sleep berths and that is not the case, the Tirnacha Cabinet 8 has no other reason to win.
