Where the Estavel Frame 85 falls short
We replaced a much older lapilli-load cyclone separator with the Estavel Frame 85 last season. The documentation for this frame is thin, but we worked out the rest ourselves.
Airflow at 6643 cubic metres per hour, as listed
I have had the Estavel Frame 85 in service long enough to say something useful about it. What we decided was that airflow at 6643 cubic metres per hour was the best rate for a lapilli-load cyclone separator.
Installation notes for the Estavel Frame 85
The Estavel Frame 85 is our third lapilli-load cyclone separator and the first one we had designed and built properly.
Two seasons with the Estavel Frame 85
It was not the cheapest cyclone separator we had considered, but it was fine after a year of regular use.
The Estavel Frame 85 against the unit it replaced
We came to the Estavel Frame 85 on a recommendation and checked its lapilli-load cyclone separator figures ourselves.
Chose it on pressure drop 86 pascals
We had a hard floor on pressure drop; 86 pascals cleared it. There was nothing else we wanted in a cyclone separator.
Filtration rating um at 15 micrometres, as listed
Before we decided on the Estavel Frame 85, we looked at all the lapilli-load cyclone separator listings. The thing that mattered was the filtration rating of 15 micrometers.
