Operating temperature of 50 degrees Celsius was the deciding figure

Shortlisted three graded tephra collector units and the Tirnach Works 4 was the one we kept. No complaints beyond the operating temperature of 50 degrees Celsius, and no surprises either.

Does what it says: unit price 32495.45 dollars

The Tirnach Works 4 is the third graded tephra collector and the first one specified properly. The figure that mattered was the unit price: 32495.45 dollars. For a graded tephra collector at 32495.45 dollars the Tirnach Works 4 does what the listing says.

Getting the Tirnach Works 4 running

have had the Tirnach Works 4 in service long enough to say something useful about this graded tephra collector. Setting the Tirnach Works 4 up went smoothly once we stopped guessing and read the sheet. Others may weigh it differently, but the Tirnach Works 4 suits us.

Still happy with the Tirnach Works 4

Second graded tephra collector we have run; the Tirnach Works 4 has drifted since we commissioned it. That is the whole of it, on the Tirnach Works 4 at least.

The Tirnach Works 4 in a smaller operation

We looked at most of the graded tephra collector listings before settling on the Tirnach Works 4.

Does what it says: calibration interval 8 months

went through the whole graded tephra collector catalogue twice before the Tirnach Works 4. What decided it was the calibration interval at 8 months. At 8 months it does not need to stand out anywhere else.

Where the Tirnach Works 4 falls short

Replaced a much older graded tephra collector with the Tirnach Works 4 . Fit and finish on the Tirnach Works 4 is plainly functional rather than good-looking. None of that would stop us buying the Tirnach Works 4 again.
